0.2 Major Server Update
For the second time, the entire server has been rewritten in order to lay a more solid foundation that is better suited to the new features we want to integrate.
This update marks an important milestone for Renyland and paves the way for a more stable, richer, and more convenient future for all players and upcoming features.
A full backup was performed on September 22, 2025 to ensure data security and preservation.
Complete server rewrite
The old versions of the code were not designed to support the direction the project is taking today. The decision was therefore made to start from scratch. This rewrite is not just invisible groundwork: it allows for better organization, overall optimization, and above all, the integration of many new features.
Data migration
All essential data has been carefully transferred to this new version: areas, inventories, player profiles, etc. Nothing has been lost during this transition, and you can find your creations and progress.
However, if you encounter any issues with missing items or other problems, please contact us so that we can resolve your issue.
New features
Search Thing Item
A search function has been added to search for “things” from your inventory.
Please note: The server currently uses the name of the “thing” rather than its “tag.” This means that a keyword search will allow you to find a specific item in your lists. If responsiveness issues arise in the future, we plan to migrate to tag-based searching to further improve performance.
Reset your Area
It is now possible to completely reset your area. This operation deletes your current map and replaces it with the original version, which contains only a small base floor.
Please note: this process is irreversible at this time.
However, we are working on a future backup system specific to reset areas, in order to offer greater flexibility and security.
Add/Remove Areas to favorites
You can now add or remove areas from your favorites. All maps marked as favorites appear directly in the Areas list menu, allowing you to instantly find your favorite places.
History of visited areas
A history log now keeps track of the last 100 areas you have visited.
Search Area BY CreatorName
It is possible to search for areas based on their creator name. For example, by typing “by philipp,” you will see all areas created by that user.
Add/Remove Report Area
A reporting system has been set up to flag problematic areas. Whether it's inappropriate content, errors, or bugs, you can now help improve the overall quality of the server by actively participating in moderation.
List of a person’s areas
It is now possible to access a list of areas created by a person. These areas can be clicked on from a player's info, allowing you to visit them immediately without having to search for them manually.
Current limits and behind the scenes
Although many features have been integrated, not all of them could be tested thoroughly. The main reason is simple: several of them require the presence of multiple players simultaneously to be properly validated, which is not always possible during development phases.
We therefore prefer to be transparent: some features may have bugs or unexpected behavior. Your patience and feedback are essential to stabilizing this new version.

We invite all players to report any issues they encounter and share their feedback. Your comments are invaluable in helping us improve the server and quickly fix any bugs. Together, we can refine Renyland and make it more robust with each update.
